about us

Westover Studios (aka Westover) was founded by Phillip Pettet in 2008 in a small, back room of his home on Westover Blvd in Lynchburg, Virginia. Phillip kept the name of the business he started with to always remind him of the company's humble beginnings. Nine years, an assembled team of talented designers and creatives, and billions of dollars of growth for his clients later, Westover Studios continues to grow and make an incredible impact for nearly 100 clients.

Westover is built on, and has nearly perfected, the remote site workflow. We have developed processes, workflow, and understanding that drive our efficiency and precision. We take the industry's best practices and pair them together with 21st century technologies, platforms, and applications to allow us to work seamlessly with the onsite counterparts to develop some amazing collaborative work. A lot of unnecessary money is spent in travel expenses that don't specifically benefit the project itself, so we figured that if we could find an effective alternative to traveling, we could save you thousands of dollars... However, if onsite support is what you need, we can do that too.

Over the years, the team at Westover has worked with companies large and small for various types of projects, for nearly every branch of the federal government, state and local governments, non-profit organizations, and private sector companies. Founder & CEO

Phillip Pettet

From teaching himself how to use design software at the age of 13 on a CompuServe 386 to opening his own design firm in 2008, Phillip has represented many clients large and small for nearly 20 years. Drawing since he was old enough to hold a crayon, Phillip has had a passion for great design and how it impacts the creative industry for a long time. Staying ahead of the industry’s frequent changes is Phillip's sixth sense. Phillip graduated from Liberty University with a Visual Communication Arts degree and is a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) and the Graphic Artists Guild. He currently lives in Lynchburg, Virginia with his wife and seven children. He enjoys spending time with his family, great food and friends, and football.


Nick Castro

If you happen to get ahold of one of Nick’s childhood sketchbooks and you flip through them, you might notice that he was designing logos and drawing advertisements for fun at a young age. Fast-forward a decade or two, and he’s still doing it. From creative directors and studio managers for worldwide brands to industry-leading proposal managers, conceptual designers, and desktop publishers, Nick has designed alongside some of the nation’s best. Knowing the latest design trends and combining them with tried-and-true techniques in order to present brands and companies in their best light is what Nick loves to do. Nick graduated from Liberty University with a Visual Communication Arts degree, and he currently lives in the Lynchburg, Virginia area with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, Nick enjoys reading, spending time with family, and getting outside.

Brian Morris

Brian lives in Lynchburg, Virginia with his wife, son, and family dog. Originally hailing from Pennsylvania, he moved down to attend college and simply never left. Brian earned his undergraduate degree in finance as well as an MBA. Despite never pursuing his intended career as an attorney, he had the opportunity to learn a vast number of skills before landing in the field of marketing. Since then, he has had the pleasure of working with a number of well-known companies and personalities as well as extremely unique marketing challenges. He has worked with Google to develop two case studies and even presented at Google NYC headquarters. He loves his job and would love nothing more than to help you and your organization grow by leaps and bounds.

Copywriter & Editor

Scott Wiebe

Scott has degrees in Marketing and Accounting. He is a talented copywriter and editor, and currently lives in Lynchburg with his wife and four children. He enjoys time with his family, reading, podcasts, soccer (Liverpool!), and great films.

Coordinator & Desktop Publisher

Teresa Davis

Teresa has her degree from Cornell University and more than 20 years of professional experience in document production. She currently lives with her husband in beautiful Tennessee and enjoys good books, coffee, and traveling.

Academics & Business Development

Paul Pittman

Paul has an MBA and has been a college professor in international business and management for 10 years. He currently lives in the Lynchburg area with his wife and three children and enjoys listening and playing jazz music, playing golf, and is a coffee aficionado.


Web & mobile

Peter Pittman

Peter has a degree in aviation with a minor in business. His expertise is in coding and mobile and website development. He currently lives in the Lynchburg area with his wife and daughter and enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, and playing guitar.
